Amazing price! These are $100 at Atech. Appears to be one of those speakers that use vibration etc.

  • Can't find any reviews vouching for their sound. It's dirt cheap but if its very bad i'd never use it and then it's just wasted space.

Any idea what it sounds like?

  • +1

According to PriceSpy, their normal price (Or previous price) for this is $9.95

2015-09-16 New price $9.95 EZ-Tekno Pop 360 Magnetic Wireless Speaker

    • Did not see that, just looked at the interactive chart thingie! Not sure why it is so cheap at Computer Lounge. Will update title.

      • +1

Yea, it wasn't in the chart, sometimes those price changes aren't recorded in there for some reason.

  • the expensive model is 360bt that plays music from Bluetooth. This model doesn't

    • Thanks for the info! Shame the retailers don't make that clearer with the model numbers.

  • Was about to buy it and looks like Computer Lounge just changed the price to $34.95.. So I guess deal expired?

    • Ahh that's a pain, have expired.

I wonder if they will ship them out at this price.

  • Ordered one at the reduced price, so will see if it turns up? Nothing ventured, 'n all that….

  • Rubbish speakers, arrived faulty - not charging. Did anyone else have this problem?

    • Contacted CL about it?

      • Yea, I have. They said they did not know it. Yea, right… They demanded that I fill in RMA for it. Really? It is almost not worth arguing about $15.

        • To be fair, for them to have checked all stock for DOA is pretty difficult, but I do recall RMA being a standard process for their store with regards to returns. Your call really whether you bother or not, but I can't see CL being a store to do a dirty on a customer, Jay, in the comment below, received theirs fine and it works.

        • @Shaw:
:) Do you work for cl?
I had two both faulty. Neither of them charged (and I left one of them charging for two days).

        • @Shaw:
Not to mention, their description of "wireless speaker" is misleading in the first place :)
It is only wireless as MP3 player, not as a speaker.

        • @Firremann:

Haha I work here mate, no affiliation with CL whatsoever (Or any other company for that matter), just a repeat customer there.

That sucks, but, having been involved in a family retail business before, it does happen. Trust me, often a customer will receive multiple faulty units, it's simply not feasible to test every one before it goes out. But we were lucky, as our supplier always sorted the issues out with the customers.

I have no experience with CL RMA process, but I don't imagine it to be any different to other NZ online retailers, fill the form, they arrange shipping of the product, you send it back to them, and they replace it.

        • @Firremann:

Yea, I agree with that, I was a bit taken back by it being described as a wireless speaker when it had to be attached to the source. Maybe push CL for a refund based on that and the fact that they are faulty?

  • The speaker we received works okay. Heavy little fellow. Long time to charge on first use but wasn't concerned. Sound quality not amazing, but wasn't expecting it to be from a resonance speaker. During ordering, they wanted extra confirmation on the use of the credit card. Ignored this and the order went through anyway.
