This is OK but holding out for the epic $1.99 for 300 points deal.

      Definitely.
      Nothing beats that one.

This year is Disney's 100 year anniversary so hopefully some good offers coming.

  • Would using a different email but same FB number as previously redeemed work?

    • I always use a completely new email and new flybuys account to be sure.
So far it has worked for me every time but I know many others have had issues getting the points so I would recommend a new FB account.
Take your time and make sure all the details match. It's good until the 6th March so there is time.

      • I had a vanilla FB account for the December deal (same as this one) and STILL had issues receiving the points. Once I followed up, they arrived though so I don't think the new FB account is entirely necessary. Definitely a new Disney+ account required though

    • That’s what I did last time. I had to contact Flybuys multiple times to follow up and took me so long to get my points.

      • Did you follow the guide here by another fellow cheapie? I did that and got all my points in 24 hours.

Quick maths, correct me if I'm wrong:

Every 4 points gets you 3c per litre of fuel discount.

148 points would therefore get you a $1.11 per litre discount.

Redeemable on up to 50L, that would save you a max of $55.50 if you have the tank space.

Minus the $14.99 cost of entry, you're looking at a net gain of around $40. Nice!

    • Sounds about right.

    • The other consideration is you get Flybuy's points for filling up too. 1 Flybuys every time you fill up with 20 litres, there is also a deal at the moment where you get 5 FB points for each $40 transaction. Maths is too hard for me but you could probably get the cost back of the Disney subscription in Fuel discounts

    • My wife and I took both of our cars and put 25l in each one last time. We parked as close as we could so that I put 25 in one, stopped pumping, then put it in the other car and did 25 in that one. Just dont hang the pump back up between switching cars.

      • Nice one, can always take a jerry can with you too

      • Cheapies think alike. My wife and I did the same last time 😃

My advice going forward. Anything to do with Flybuys is screenshot everything, every part of the process and every piece of communication from them. I'm still fighting for my points from Z Energy promos and Disney promos. If/when you get the points it's well worth it, but their communication is terrible.
Does anyone know for a fact, are their systems not automated? Is the information added manually?

    • Agreed, always take screenshots. I signed up the Disney plus promotion 4 times in total for my household and my parents. Had to chase them up for the 300 points every time. In fact, I had only just got the 300 points from Sep 2022 promotion last week.

    • Regarding the automation, it isn't as far as I have been told. They operate where every month just push through the queued points manually (hence "processed" and the "transaction" date tabs under my activity) - no idea why this system is so archaic but it could be way better. For the Disney points, they got me to email a separate division: [email protected] with the case number, your FB number and a forward of the Disny+ sign up email from the promotion period. Points were delivered within a few days after that.

  • Cool, just in time for The Mandolorian season 3, on march 1st, which is about the only thing we watch on Disney.

Also turn off your ad blocker in screenshots, as they ask about that (even though it makes zero difference)

  • Can you cancel immediately after signing up for one month?

I know this has been asked before and just wondering what has people’s experience been?

    • +1

I cancelled a few days BEFORE the renewal to be safe because I'm sure I read somewhere in the FB T's & C's that you had to be subscribed for X amount of days before cancelling (20 sounds right). Not that FB has anyways to verify to be honest.

      • Thanks good info!

  • They still haven't fixed this.

"*Bonus Flybuys offer valid for new, first-time Disney+ subscribers only. Cancelled or renewed subscriptions will not be eligible to earn bonus Flybuys."
Now if you read the Terms & Conditions third paragraph.
"Offer valid only for eligible !+++++new and returning+++++! Disney+ subscribers with a Flybuys account. Existing subscribers to Disney+ will not be eligible for the offer."

They are running 200 points for an annual subscription as well; probably stay away from that.. :)

  • i am here after netflix did the geo fencing

  • Did anyone get their points yet? It's taken longer than usual!

    • The offer only finished two weeks ago.
They state points will be credited within 30 days of the offer end date so still a bit of time to go yet.
      I don’t have mine yet.

  • My points have arrived today.
Next petrol stop should be a lot cheaper!
