  • Nice! Price doesn't include shipping. Bought a few things, thanks OP!

  • Did we ever get any free shipping codes from the warehouse again?

    • Not for over a year now.
The only way you might get one now is if they cancel an online order you make and even then it is a one use code.

Any idea if those paddle boards are any good?

    • +2

They look very similar to the Torpedo7 ones and are likely sourced from the same place. So yeah they're good for the price when you condiser that most low budget "name brand" SUP's are $500+, and if The Warehouse has a returns/warranty process as easy as T7 then it should be fine and little risk. Highly recommenced having an electric pump though as hand pumping a SUP does take a long time (10-20 minutes depending on your pump), and you still have to paddle it afterwards!

Great option if you just want to dabble/try it before investing in a better quality one for sure.

Interesting. It looks as though when moving the items to clearance, they've upped the price so that the '50% Off Selected Clearance Products' discount looks a lot bigger than it would have been. Found the old links (not under clearance).

11' SUP was $249, now $349 under the clearance section

The 10' 4" SUP was $199, now $279 under the clearance section

Seems a bit sus there, TWG.

Same thing with some of the pens on clearance.

Isn't this just down right illegal? Commerce Commission?

      • Kathmandu were done on something similar so their clerance price stickers now show previous prices throughout its lifecycle.

      • +7

That is exactly the practices that ComCom should be cracking down on as it 100% deceptive pricing. Behaviour like this makes my blood boil and shows how low TWG has sunk over the past year or two.

I've taken screenshots of all those linked products and am sorely tempted to report them to ComCom myself as it's bare faced deceptitve pricing.

Do it and let us know how you get on?

        • +1

I was potentially going to do this too, but won't have the time for a while. Please do it!

After all of the issues we've had with their bogus randomly generated "we can't price match due to x" responses, I'm sick of them.

Complaint made. Pretty easy really. Let's see what comes of it.

      • Only if it was done on purpose. If it was a genuine accident they were priced incorrectly, then no, but it is frowned upon.
If they just got automatic prices adjusted when someone clicked a "mass sale" button, then they may have gone back after realising things were included that shouldn't have been.

      I noticed this instore too.

Lots of the "clearance" stuff became a "Managers Special!" the day everything was marked down to 50% off clearance.
