Still more expensive than on Amazon AU where it is AUD115.77 delivered with the coupon

    • This is the real deal.

  • will it work with any heatpump, i have the one that has the control on the wall panel but no remote to it?

    • It's going to depend on whether your heatpump has the option of a infrared remote or not, looking up the model should tell you

    • Doesn't work with ducted heatpumps with a wall controller unfortunately. Only works with the ones that have a IR remote control

  • Any feedback on the broadlink rm4 on Amazon au for around $40 compared to sensibo for $150?

    • I have both. Sensibo’s advantage is that it also has a IR receiver, and temperature and humidity sensor. This way if someone uses the remote, it will also update on Sensibo.

      • I can't seem to find the sensor cable for the broadlink on Amazon au as a standalone item. I can on Amazon US though. I bought the mini about six months ago and really like it but didn't twig about the cable until just now. Don't suppose you are able to find it or any tips on where it might be available?

        • search aliexpress many listings. Maybe Temu has it not sure. Below is one of the example you can get it.

I have unused one here if you need it soon. Bought the wrong rm4 that's not compatible eith the sensor cable.

It sounds like there is a monthly reoccurring subscription to use all the functionality. I have copied this from one of the reviews on the noel lemming site:

Schedule function allows you to set time for the heat pump to TURN ON, but does not allow you to set a time for it to TURN OFF, Beware as some functions require the user to purchase an additional monthly license. This should be advised prior to purchasing as not all functions listed comes "free to use".

  • They must have taken the mitre 10 link down

  • I got the Ambi Climate 2 from LX2001 for $60. Does a good job.

    • Nice. I see it works with HA too. Though not local control it doesn't look like.

Does it expose it's own sensor info to you?

      • Not sure. How would I go about figuring that out?

        • Just whether their app or any integrations surface sensor data to you I guess. Useful perspective vs the heat pumps thermometer up on the wall

            @eXDee: Some of the categories;

history (temp, humidity, heat, mode used)
insights (run time, average AC set points, temp & humidity, mode usage),
            deployments

Is that along the lines of what you were asking for?

  • I have Sensibo Air - it's great.

You get plenty of functionality without paying for the monthly subscription.

I tried a Tado - utterly useless, I ended up retuning it.

  • I got a chinese one, it just costs $10 and works like charm….
