90

A continuation of The Warehouse Daily Deals.

Market Kitchen Coffee Capsule 10 Pack Range - $2 (was $5)

  • This one is for Monday 5th Feb - there will be other deals but I couldn't guess them.
  • At $2 a pack it looks pretty cheap, so hopefully not another error like the hose reel the other day.
  • Comments from last year when it was on special 3 for $10

Range - Napoli, Venice, Rome, Trieste

  • Anyone know how these taste compared to other brands? I need to get pods for the wife.

  • We have the nespresso citiz and these didnt work in the machine

    • Not sure why the down vote but the capsules just kind of crumpled up in the machine while using so didnt get to try what the coffee was like..worth trying first in your machine if you have a nespresso before buying lots in case this happens in your machine

  • To see the other deals. In the app, click shop more daily deals and you can see the next day. Hose reel, shirts etc

That’s only the next day though.
I posted this on Sat before they listed them in the app. Now that it’s Sun you can see all of the Mon offers.

      • Yeah, just updating for anyone rather than post a new deal

  • What coffee machine would you recommend to go with this?

  • Worth buying a cheap 2nd hand Nespresso machine on FB marketplace to use this?

If anyone wants to have a go figuring out what might be coming up just replace the word 'hose' or 'pillow' in the proof urls with another product to try your luck

I'm no coffee snob by any stretch of the imagination, my go to favorite coffee brand is whatever one is cheapest. I've tried lots of different Nespresso brands through the years, various blends of the L'or pods, Podista, Starbucks, Jeds, Robert Harris, whatever one is on special that week I'll usually give it a go, and these Warehouse ones are by far the worst tasting ones I've tried. I don't know what it is but no matter what I try adding to them, syrups, combining them with other coffee blends, sugar, milk, nothing I do makes them taste any good to my unsophisticated and usually easily pleased palate.

We have a lot of pod coffees.. everything from the highest end small batch ones to the cheapest… we go throu a few packs a week.

IMHO these are OK.. and if they are $2 then that is fantastic for the price.

The pink ones are by far the best of the range.

We have a De'Longhi Nespresso machine FYI and have had no issues with them.

I am bit of a coffee snob but I have two kids under 5 and long work hours so I compromise by getting coffee pods and saving money from getting coffee from cafes as much as possible.

The market brand coffees in my opinion are a bit of a hit and miss for two reasons:

    1. The quality of the capsule form and make: these capsules are more easily crushed due to their budget aluminium design than any other mainstream coffee pods I've tried. I've successfully recieved refunds from Market and Warehouse after receiving even minorly crushed pods because they simply do not work in the nespresso machines if they lose shape even a little bit (like a minor ding on the side) as the way in which most nespresso machines are designed cause them to fold from the inside due to their design flaw and thus not being able to get any coffee out.

    2. The roast quality: the Rome and the Venice blends are not very well roasted & or well-proportioned. Their robusta beans are not well roasted and often come out tasting bitter/burnt more often then not. It's recommended that you do not use lungo options on your nespresso machines on the blends as it increases the chance of the coffees coming out less than average. You are far better off in terms of value in buying L'or on Amazon on bulk then using Market pods as the coffees come out generally weaker in flavour and caffeine content (2 of these capsules are worth 1 L'or onyx in my opinion)

The Napoli (red) blend is the better tasting of the lot. I use Napoli only for ice coffee mixes.

  • The purchase limit doesn’t seem to be applied - placed an order for 20 boxes and got confirmation it’s ready for pickup
