    v10 battery recharges faster ands lasts longer with stronger suction than v8

    V8 can use a battery adapter so you can plug in makita or dewalt batteries.

    Great to just swap and change them when they go flat and keep on vacuuming.

    Our V10 doesn't get used anymore.

      Thanks for the info, it open my new world about Dyson battery adapter! I did some searching and there are plenty of V10 battery adapter to buy on the other hand

        Care to share what you've found on v10 adapters?

        I looked but couldnt find anything. The v10 i think runs on 25v whereas the v8 runs on 21.6v which is close enough to the makita 18v batteries.

        18v->25v is too much of a stretch for the v10 but happy to know if there are v10 battery adapters out there.

            @NoMorePain: Thanks. These weren't around when I bought my V8 adapter 12 months ago but they are a bit more expensive. Hopefully there's some voltage boosting circuitry in it.

            Might have to look at getting one.

            @NoMorePain: Just read some specs of some V10 adapters and they warn not to run at max speed - only low speed so I'm guessing they're not boosting the voltage.

  But heavier and not as flexible as v7/v8 as the body is quite large, especially vacuuming the car
