Is this like the frozen coke deal where you could actually choose any soft drink

    • Not too sure… But if anyone has gone ahead and redeemed it in store, feel free to let us know!

You can change it i used mine before, can even change it to a hot chocolate or a kiwi blue on the kiosk

There are 5 different other deals you can get by answering the "Hot or Not" questionnaire in the app. All are $4.50. You can skip the feedback and reanswer the question as many times as you like for another voucher

What Spice = medium spicy shaker chips + medium soft drink
Barely a Tingle = small spicy shaker fries + large soft drink
Kinda Spicy = medium spicy shaker fries + medium frozen drink
Everything is numb = small spicy shaker fries + small sundae
My mouth is on FIRE = small sundae + medium frozen drink

    • Wow, didn't know this was a thing! Thanks :D

Do you get the freebie straight away or do you have to wait for your review to be accepted? I answered but didn't see any freebie.

      • +1

It's not a freebie. It's a deal for $4.50. Showed up straight away for me

Edit. I didn't provide any feedback. I just skipped.

      • Its not a freebie, just a $4.50 deal. If you dont see it right away just drag the deal screen down to refresh or move to a different category via the 3 bar menu and back to deals again

Pretty sure the prices have been bumped again on some of their deals. Seem to remember the BigMac and small fries was $9 a few weeks ago but $9.50 now

    • +1

The deals are different for each person, I have medium big mac combo for $8.

Crikey. So what’s their algorithm? Are they trying to reel you in with a low price or rewarding you because you gobble Mac’s on the regular and it keeps you loyal and continually spending?

        • +2

I think its both, you get different priced deals depending on the account plus they have increased their prices. At a guess I'd say it would be dependent on your order history if it isn't randomised.

          • @Dazza: I wonder if location and demographics (that it asks during the sign up) affects it too?

            • @mikebb: @mikebb possible, McDonald's being so
machiavellian it wouldnt surprise me if it were reverse loyalty program, ie if you dont spend they tempt you to come in again with better deals, and if you go there all the time they give you worse deals.

          • +1

@Dazza: Can confirm. I have been using the $7 2 cheeseburger deals for the last weeks or so, and last Sunday I only have the $7.5 deluxe cheeseburger deal. This week, no cheeseburger deals. .

looks like they only give you deals if you dont go there often.

    • Did they remove the Double Stack deal from the app? Am unable to find it on my app

        • Is that iOS?

I don't think I've ever seen the upsize option. I get the 'For two' option though. https://files.cheapies.nz/upload/6863/4971/win_20240418_14_3…

          • @Stoic: Yes it is on iOS.
Your 'For One' option is the equivalent of the image I posted above for a regular at $14.50
The upsize option is the same as your 'For Two' at $29.
Not sure why the wording is different. Is your app up to date? Mine was updated within the last few days.

I don't generally go to to Maccas so all my coiupons are pretty much unused.

            • @bigcheese: Maybe that's why, I bought the Double Stack a week ago and it has not refreshed on my app

      • Gone from my app. Pretty much the only deal I used too.
