    Is Slingshot CGNAT?

    • This gets asked every time…
Yes it is but you can opt out by calling them.

I joined Slingshot this week on the $60 FastConnect deal and I'm not on CGNAT as far as I can tell.

      • Did you try pinging your own IP? Or host something?

        • I went to whatismyip and the IP is the same as what's showing on my router's WAN/Internet IP admin page.

          • @philyy: Can confirm no CGNAT with my Slingshot as well

I think the $60 deal from Fastnet is still valid. At least it was when I checked with them last month.

    • Yep, still valid. I just joined Slingshot this week with the deal.

    • Oh didn't know that, I was browsing through the deals here and that one was marked as Expired

    • Yes still valid, joined earlier this month

    • Just got a call from them today after filling out the form over the weekend - apparently the $60/month deal ended on Friday last week :(

    • Yeah just got off the phone with them, the cheapest they can find/offer is $71 from 2Degrees.

  • Where do we enter the BroadbandCompare code? I’ve just gone through the whole signup process and can’t see where to enter this

  • When does this deal expire? My year plan is finishing soon and might transfer to this if it's still happening by then

Been available for a few years now so my guess is not anytime soon (but again it’s just a guess).

If you are not bound to electricity provider, maybe you can jump on $300 sign up bonus from Contact. No contract. Later jump to this maybe?

  • Actual broadband service is fine, customer service non existent to terrible. So as long as it goes smoothly you will be fine, otherwise you will question your choices here.

I would suggest you to apply via glimp, for slingshot 900mbps package I got it at $109/mth with 4 mths free. so in total, its about $72.67/month.

    • I can't see the deal with 4 months free.
Is it still available? When did you get the deal via glimp?

    • Didn't that deal expire?

    • Yeah it got removed recently, it was still on last month.

  • Is there any cheap 300/100 no contract deal at the moment?

    • No, you're not getting cheap and no contract together

  • This does not work. You sign up online and it cancels so ce offer is no longer valid

    • Can you explain a bit more. Did you put through the request and then get an email stating that the offer is no longer valid?

  • Is this for new customers only? My 12 month with slingshot is almost up and this still looks to be the cheapest option.

    • Cancel and get your partner to sign up?

      • Usually a household will have to churn elsewhere a few months before they allow that

It's not the case for us. I had a slingshot account. When the contract was about to expire I contacted Fastconnect. They actually suggested that we sign up the Slingshot deal under my wife's name which we did with no issue.

      • @doubledippps Would of if this was an option ^^;;;

  • Anyone know how long Slingshot takes to switch you over if you have an existing Fibre connection with another ISP, and already have your own modem? I am wanting to switch before the end of my paid term with Skinny is up on the 25th, but don't want to pay two ISPs for several weeks.

  • Anyone know the process of using a Skinny Modem with Slingshot and got it working? Apparently there are settings that need changing and it may not work.
