  • We planned to travel to Guangzhou, china during March 2025, what are the ticket prices during that time? Im hoping it will be similar to prices that you shown now….

  • +3

China makes a good starting point for most of asia, if your want to add more on countries like Vietnam, Korea or Japan are pretty close

  • Anything for Fuzhou in late November/December? 😊

  • Has anyone done the PVG-SHA airport transfer in Shanghai? A 4hr transfer time seems quite short to switch airports.

    • +1

Yes - Chinese airports for transit are incredibly efficient. I've done transit at PVG, you get off the plane (usually bus) straight into arrivals, clear a transit gate, clear security, and you're airside again. I've done a 55 minute connection very recently.

Your biggest issue will be WiFi and food - they need your passport to provision WiFi, and the food choices are not amazing, but like most airports.

      • My question isn't about 'transit', which is within one airport, it's about 'transfer' which is going to a different airport. Is that something you've experienced?

        • +1

Ah fair point. Sorry I don't know much about this, thanks for clarifying, I didn't read it properly

    • +1

Its about 60mins between the 2 airports travel time. I think you would be crazy to have 4hr gap in flights and self transfer as everything needs to go perfectly, i did it once with an 8 hr gap. So sure if you are only going carry on you will be okay

    • +3

I've done it but I don't recommend it. I could've done it because 1. I'm from China and I know well about the public transport system and 2. I was lucky there was no delay after I arrived at the airport, I jumped on to the subway straightaway.

The subway itself between the two airports takes more than an hour. You also have to consider that there may be a long queue at the border processing, especially for non-Chinese passport holders. And the fact that you may not be familiar with the subway system, how to pay etc.

    • 4 hours gap would be not enough for the transition
      don't take the risk

  • Anything to Adelaide around Christmas time?
