Still so expensive compared to Australian prices.

    A1 for example: 765NZD vs 439AUD

Exactly. I desperately want to get a the A1 but the fact that they're so overpriced in this market is really offputting and it's a bit beyond my budget. If it was under $600 I'd buy it in an instant but instead I'm weighing up other options.

    • Agree there are only two very small resellers in NZ and prices are unreasonably high, hope PB tech would pick up Bambu Lab printers.

      • I emailed them after I saw your comment and they said they're getting Bambu's "soon". Dunno if they'll necessarily bring the price down but I'll wait and see.

        • Thanks that's great news! Hope they will bring the price down.

The Uptake on 3d printers has been rather good so i do hope more brands do appear soon.
Saw my mates Bambu in aussie and instantly wanted one.

For a while, when they first came out (about 2 years ago now) they were willing to Ship to NZ from their Aussie store.. so made things a crap load cheaper.
I think i got my X1C with AMS for ~$1600 NZD landed.

I was recently looking for a second printer to go along side the one i have, but as you say, at these prices it was just mental so had looked at other options. Have just opted for a Sovol SV08 (large format) as i could get it delivered to NZ for around ~$1k, direct from Sovol. as opposed to the ~$1600 NZD anyone with stock here is charging.

I know we are in the middle of nowhere, but man it feels frustrating sometimes and feels like everyone is taking the piss!

    • X1C with AMS for $1600 2 years ago, that's such a good deal, I'd take that right now in a heartbeat.
