Got an S24 for $30.26 after TradeIn S23FE.
Nah what I do is save a notepad on desktop (I'm a pc user more than phone) with the IMEI/Serial, Coupon Codes and Discount Codes, keep it updated and then just either copy past into Email/Google Keep.
Easy to edit and update since their codes are similar and lets you keep track of any discount codes you get texted from their surveys and chat
That way when such sales come up its just a matter of copy pasting stuff
@Huntakillaz: I prefer Windows too but then no 10% first app. And copying and pasting doesn't seem to work on Windows Subsystems for Android Samsung app. I think it can but decided not worth working out how to get it working. Perhaps some other Android emulator would work better but frankly AVD is only other emulator I'd recommend generally.
@Nil Einne: Nah thats why you send it to your email or an app like Keep which syncs notes, then just use your mobile devices as normal but copy paste from your email/notes.
@Huntakillaz: Still prefer Windows especially since my tablet and phone are having issues. I might use tablet when buying just in case Samsung complains about an emulator when I'm trying to buy. But when just checking I think I'll stick with WSA.

@ScottNeville: It definitely stopped working for me at 1100, I was trying to check price of the S24 Ultra 256GB and it didn't work, others also reported it stopped working. I guess they decided to extend it. Trouble is they've also killed the UPGRADES24 for now so IMO better to just wait and see.
@Nil Einne: Definitely better to wait now. I was on the fence between upgrading both my son and my A72's to S24's for arouns $650 together but I think i'll have to jump on it next time. I'd be a fool not to.

Couple of hundred a year is a good price to upgrade, and it's a nice step up in hardware too. Seems the S20FE is only getting security updates now, so possibly unsupported next year, good time to trade it in.

You can grab your IMEI or Serial Number really quickly, on the site it gives you the instruction on how to get it.
They need it so they can confirm that you actually have the item for trade in.

Bit late now but others have found providing an IMEI different from what you send it seems to be fine. You can either use one from any phone or just make one up. The last digit is a check digit so you need to use a check generator or calculate it your self but any random 14 digit number with a correct check digit at the end will probably work. Note if possible, I would recommend you give the correct IMEI given Assurant's (people who handle the tradein) known issues especially if it's a high base value tradein.

How old is old? I've seen iPhone X options available for the tradein. Watches and tablets work too
It depends what you're buying but especially at the Ultra level or Z Fold/Z Flip, I still think it's fairly trivial to get a $100 tradein and you'll probably would have gotten a better deal than you can anywhere else. Note I don't recommend you do this right now given the problems with the UPGRADES24 but still IMO there's no reason why not having a tradein means you can't tradein.
E.g. on Trademe all of these should be tradeinable and are $100 or less buy now. I didn't include shipping so add $10 or so, but still $110 or so was likely better than other options. The first one is even a business so very low risk of them messing you around and quite a few of the others have very high feedback score and also have Ping so fairly low risk. Note the list probably isn't exhaustive, these are just items on my watch list which I last added to about 2.5 days ago and also $100 is at the level where I didn't pay so much attention.
As mentioned by others Assurant don't seem to care if you give them the wrong IMEI, so to reduce risk you can buy your phone first then buy the tradein immediately after. Since you're not after any base value from your tradein, you can just tick no on all the boxes if you're worried about undisclosed problems with what you receive. Since you have 7 days from when you receive the phone, should receive the tradein in good time.
BTW, should be obvious from the list but your best bet to buy a tradein tends to be the iPhone 7 since I guess it's the device which is widespread but also old enough that it has a fairly low resale value. Note there are one or two parts only listings which might be a little cheaper. I've excluded these given the risks it might create problems with the tradein.

UPGRADES24 not working
It seems like FLASHNOV is finally not working with other promotions. UPGRADES24 is not working anymore in conjunction with this code. Bummer!

For clarity the problem seems to be UPGRADES24 doesn't work at all at the moment. I removed all codes and it still doesn't work. FLASHNOV still works with other codes e.g. LOYAL50 and a 10% at least when I tried.
@inmeltingpot: Hmm you're right. Weird it definitely did not earlier when I removed everything but it does seem to be okay now. Samsung site is known to be buggy so maybe that's it.
Edit: One possible reason it didn't work earlier is I had already added the tradein when it was still working. Perhaps because they changed the code, I needed to reset the tradein. I did do that when trying something else so this could be the reason.
@Nil Einne: More testing and can confirm UPGRADES24 can still be used with other codes e.g. LOYAL50 and 10% off. (As mentioned FLASHNOV can also be used with these.) It's just FLASHNOV and UPGRADES24 that are now incompatible with each other :-( Same applies to UPGRADEZ and FLASHNOV.
Since I intentionally waited for a better deal this is a bit concerning to me. But there's still a small chance we might get an equivalent or better deal than was before. As I mentioned earlier, it's possible they will have 25% or even 30% off base price which even without the UPGRADES24/UPGRADEZ could end up similar or better especially on higher value phones.
Also while I'm not hopeful that Samsung will allow you to use UPGRADEZ/UPGRADES24 with FLASHNOV or FLASHDEC again, during Labour day sale at least near the end (didn't check earlier) you didn't need FLASHOCT for their flash sale, in fact it didn't work. If they do this again, there's a greater chance UPGRADES24 might work. BTW the S24 FE works with FLASHNOV but still now UPGRADES24.
If you have access to it EPP is another hope.
Also since I only noticed this late then only noticed they'd extended it after they killed combining I don't have a detailed list but I know the Galaxy S24 Ultra 512GB with FLASHNOV, UPGRADES24, 10% code and 10% first app was $987.36 with a $0 base value tradein before FLASHNOV originally ended at 1100.
caved in. used flashnov only with loyal50 plus the s23fe. totaled to $248. still pretty sad it doesnt add the upgrades24 anymore. lucky for those to have got it for $22

You know you have to send the tradein right? If you don't, they'll charge your card if they can. While we don't have reports what they do if they fail to just charge your card that I'm aware of, in this case when they're in the right since you didn't send them anything or sent them something which isn't what you said it's quite reasonable they might pursue it as a debt including eventually sending it to a debt collector. Let's not give Assurant reasons to be cause problems for genuine tradeins.
Edit: For clarity I think it will be Samsung not Assurant who ask you to pay. Assurant are just the ones, correctly in this case, saying you didn't send in what you said you would.

Anyone having difficulty trading in a S23 128gb model? I don't see it in the drop down menu when trying to purchase a S23, only the 256 and 512 GB versions.
There are only 128GB and 256GB listed for the Galaxy S23 5G tradein. The S23 Plus 5G only has 256GB and 512GB but you didn't mention Plus. Ultra has 256GB, 512GB and 1000GB.
You mention trying to purchase which is a bit confusing. I'm assuming you don't want to purchase a S23 since these aren't part of the promotion and I don't see why you'd want to purchase a S23 while trading in a S23. So are you sure you're doing things correctly? You need to select what you want to buy e.g. S24 and the capacity for that. Then select that you want to tradein a device and then phone should be selected automatically (there is also smart watch and tablet) so choose Samsung as the manufacturer/brand and choose the Galaxy S23 5G if that's what you have. Then select capacity for the tradein.
Unfortunately the S24 seems to be out of stock in all models at the moment. Need S24+ or S24FE.
Sort of mentioned this above but I'll repeat it here. Note as with all of Samsung's recent flash sales, the deal is also for the Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6. I assume UPGRADEZ worked with FLASHNOV earlier but unfortunately it doesn't now just like UPGRADES24 stopped working with FLASHNOV (see above). Also it does include the S24 FE unlike I think some of the earlier flash sales although UPGRADES24 still doesn't work with the FE (I mean generally not just combined).
Didn't get to check prices when UPGRADES24/UPGRADEZ was still stacking with FLASHNOV except for the Ultra 512GB which was $987.36 with all options. However I decided to check without the stacking. When I ordered mine in Oct, I got an email RE trade in before the phone arrived.
Got my S24 on Friday morning, put my S23 in the same packaging, new label, videod the whole thing for evidence, and put it out ready, courier picked it up by 3pm Monday, so far so good, just need to hope for a all good confirmation email now.
Did anyone get a Spigen screen protector pack from PB-Tech for the s24 base model? They're out of stock now, so if someone has one from a pack they don't want i'll happily buy it :)
Or just make something up and use a check digit calculator. E.g you can enter 111111111111119 and it'll accept it. (Although 000000000000000 isn't accepted despite being theoretically valid I think.)
