Last month, Spark extended its Free WiFi offering to its home broadband customers.
Now, customers on any Spark broadband plan can receive 1GB of data every day, to use at Spark Free WiFi zones. Previously, this offer was only open to customers on a $19 and over Spark mobile plan and Spark Digital mobile customers.
Broadband customers will need to get a passcode (click the deal link) so they can use the service. You will be able to use your 1GB of daily data across three devices in your household, at over 1000 Spark Free WiFi zones located across New Zealand.
In a press release, Spark said it also made sense to offer broadband customers free access to the WiFi network, following the fantastic response the company has had to the service by its mobile customers.
"Everyday thousands of our mobile customers tap into our free WiFi zones across the country. Following this success and feedback from customers that their kids in particular love the service, we're opening up even greater access to the network so customers and their families – regardless of what mobile provider they're with – can take advantage of 1GB of free WiFi every day," said Spark Home, Mobile and Business Chief Executive Jason Paris.
At the same time, Spark announced it will offer a free Lightbox subscription to all its home broadband customers, for the entire life of their Spark plan.
Enjoy :)
This is actually a good service I have a phone box 300m away and no problem connecting in the past. But now I'm a Bigpipe user, and these two are related, any chance the service will be extended to Bigpipe users?
