For anyone who is interested, there is a very detailed review of the model at Budget Light Forum

This model is identical specs with slight design differences to recent CC deal CREE XPE Q5but about $1 less (with discount codes) At a delivered cost of just over NZ$2 each, these make nice standby presents and emergency kit additions.

Only question I have is if the tech specs are identical, why does this model have a beam distance of 100-150m, whereas the other one is 50-100m?

Considered opinion seems to be that these are actually closer to 400 lumens than 600 lumens. But still good enough for a glovebox carry.

    • You might be able to discount this by $1 US by signing upto the email list(50 points = $1 off), no idea if there's a min spend required.

      • I think there has to be a minimum spend to apply the points to an order.

Ordered two of these, let's see how they go. Saw the review Jay linked to before purchasing and it looked good enough with an Eneloop. Same model is selling for ~$4 elsewhere, so can't complain about the price.

  • Ordered some of these (Along with some much bigger $100 lights + batteries + charger etc)

Have to say that dispatch was really fast, within 24 hours for everything..

    Rather unexpected from gearbest

    • Yea I think they got their act together.
