  • Cheers for the post rep.

I'm not a big macadamia fan, but did a comparison anyway, and the shipping really kills the deal. Can get 1 KG of Aussie nuts for $46.70 pickup from Countdown, compared to $64.10 delivered from your store. I understand there may be taste differences, and someone might disagree with me based on that, but that's fine.

Can't really get my head around the huge flat rate shipping cost.

Nothing wrong with the pricing of your nuts. Especially given that they are a locally sourced premium product. As Shaw has said you just need to try work out some cheaper shipping costs. I use Pass the Parcel and they're really affordable. You could send 1KG of nuts via courier nationwide for $6.50 or less. Pass the Parcel's rates.

  • Hi thanks for checking it out and feedback. The variety of nuts that we use doesn't drop naturally and can't be machine harvested therefore we have to handpick them unlike other varieties from australia.

There is a flat rate shipping $6 for Auckland and cheaper options for north island vs South. Although I'll check out Pass the Parcel and other competitors for small quantities parcels as the tickets that we get are for quantities up to 10-20kg better for larger quantities.

That's cool, as we mentioned, the price is pretty good, and with the 10% off, nearly matches that of Countdowns Aussie products. The problem really is that the cost of shipping is way too high. I agree with Sam, there are even options as low as $4 - $5 for shipping the single packets, probably even the 1kg packets. You could even do bags for $4 through NZ Post: https://www.nzpost.co.nz/shop/domestic-parcels/postage-inclu… or offer an untracked option and a courier option. Just suggestions though, cheers for posting.

I'm going to make an option for small package $6 all nz shipping. For now you can use the Auckland one if its 1kg or small package. :)

  • I agree with you guys. Shipping cost is a deal-breaker.. Hope you fix this soon. thanks!

  • Rip off it's a trap I get them $20 a kilo

    • Yet you refuse to share where? Nice one.

      • Not sharing isn't quite the same as refusing to share…..

Sometimes people have their own reasons for not sharing,eh! ʕ •ᴥ•ʔ

Fair point, however still valid in the sense that the original comment was made to make the deal look rubbish, with no elaboration.
