  it will be good for $250. With cheaper gear it's best to spend the money on the sub and speakers not the amp. If you're speakers cost less than 2 grand and aren't low sensitivity then amp will be fine.

  That receiver looks mighty tempting. Has a setup mic also, which is an absolute must if you want to get the best from your speakers.

    I got one of these when they were discounted at JB Hifi on a boxing day special for about $280. So this is even cheaper, but I doubt there will be many left in the store. Pity the Wellington store has already closed as I would be tempted for another, for another room as they produce very good surround sound.

      It says 4k, will it work with Xbox One S and 4k HDR? I get so confused these days, currently plugging direct to TV as my old receiver does not support 4k.

        I don't know as I don't use it with anything 4k. I think it is only 4k pass through. I got mine 2 years ago, so not sure if it has been improved on, but I know mine has the 4k pass though feature.

        Did some Googling, looks like it needs to support HDCP 2.2 which this does not :(
