Easily the best price I've seen on the Black Edition.
Does real 4k. Doesn't have a screen/touchscreen, so not as consumer friendly.
Maybe clearing ahead of a new GoPro release, and potentially better off with the Yi Technolgoy Xiaoyi Yi 4K nowadays.

Everyone wants to sell them off before GoPro's big announcement.. Wouldn't get one until the Hero 5 is released.
Yeah the new ones huge selling point will be the cloud connected aspect. That being said Go Pro's hold their value well so it's not like it will lose 40% of it's value the day after the new ones are available.
The Hero 4 is a solid performer. Does 4k at 24fps, which not many of the new contenders offer.
Agree something new is coming, so they're looking to clear these, but the new ones wont be this price.
Given no touchscreen, or screen at all, it's a pain to use compared to the excellent Hero4 Silver, but it does pack a solid punch performance wise.

Pricespy history shows it at normally quite high, but down to $549 recently, though I don't know the specifics of that one.
Cheapest elsewhere right now is much more, especially if you're after a known/more reputable store.
