  • Good deal! Any other items or just mainly these?

  • adding more as I go

  • Lol are we fighting over the title?

  • in-store or online?

    • Trying to find out what it was last year, but can't seem to find it. Assume it's both for now I guess.

Maybe they didn't do it last year, as they were part of Click Madness.

      • Mailer seems to imply available both instore and online this year.

    • In store only last year.

  • What's with that original url?

    • Honestly who knows….

  • Isn't black friday normally friday the 13th? Or is this something to do with the USA?

Heh 13th, that would mean there would be many years of no black Friday sales. And whats the chance of the 13th falling on a Friday must be like a million to 1.

OK being serious just got an email for 20% off everything on the 26th using the Warehouse money card. Might have to save the spending till then.

      • Although guessing these deals will have ended on the 26th which is saturday. So the 20% may not be much good, if there are no other discounts. It says exclusions apply, but when I click through, I can't find any info on the exclusions. Guessing it wouldn't apply to apple stuff.

      • lots of exclusions for the 20% off..

  • According to Warehouse FB page online deals will be live from 5am (Weird time?).

    • Maybe it's a way of not allowing all instore stock to be allocated to online orders? At that time I don't image they'll get many orders versus midnight for example.

      • I think usually store stock is allocated differently but could be wrong. Was in the Wellington Central store and could see they had stocked up and had on clear display the special items.

        • Not too sure, I do know they ship items from various stores around the country, as well as their central distribution centre. Would need a employee to confirm what the case is, maybe someone here knows one haha

        • @Shaw:

They definitely have stock only for in-store sales whether all the stock is separate or just some are reserved. The mailer implies this and if you look at some items e.g. the microSD card or the Moki headphones, these are sold out online but still available in some stores.

I suspect the time may have more to do with their website's sale start time. I know historically at least it used to be very slow. Items would start to go out of sale at 1-3am and this would probably take at least 30 minutes before it completed. (It wasn't as bad as Dick Smith, but still.) The front end also lags behind the backend, so you'd still see the sale price on the item page, but if you tried to purchase it, it would be normal price in your cart. I assume this happened with items starting on sale, but not something I ever tested.

Frankly their website, as with many NZ store websites is fairly bit crap. They have a tendency to remove items when they go out of stock online which can be quite confusing since you simply can't find the item. Okay if you know how to Google (or Bing), or know the URL perhaps because you saw it before you can easily check and find the page has disappeared. And if you have experience, you know this happens. But I'm guessing the average person is simply perplexed why they can't find the item, whether they've screwed up or what. It's even more confusing since they often but don't always do this. Some items do show up as in store only when they go out of stock online. I mentioned this to them once (I think it was them, may have been another store which does the same thing). They said something like they removed the page because it was out of stock but they couldn't update it quickly enough to properly show it out of stock. (Actually thinking about it more, maybe this was Dick Smith.)

Anyway, point is I wouldn't be surprised if reason for 5am time at least partially relates to what their website and staff could handle.

  • hm yesterday price for ipad air2 16gb was $649. today I refresh a page price is red and its $679.

      What ? its $519 (Save $130). 519+130=649.

Also the 16GB model has been discontinued by Apple, best bet if you are going to buy one is to buy a 32GB today straight from apple for $649 and get a $75 gift card back.

      • ah I got it, was looking at wifi+4g for some reason instead wifi. thanks!

If anyone is looking for the Moki Pro Studio Headphones in Henderson area, the Westcity store seems to still have quite a lot. There is a main area with headphones and which has the price tag for the headphones, they're all gone from there. There was also 2 or something in the music bar area, but that may mean a long que, so unless you're getting something else (e.g. the microSD) I'd avoid. But at the end close to the wall of one of the aisles between the music bar and the main headphone area there's a lot of them. All seemed to be yellow. It doesn't have price tags or anything, I suspect one reason why people haven't noticed them.

    Not the best photo but:
