Saw that but, for me after postage and the TheMarket discount there was only a $30 difference.
Rs165 reviews better than the rs175 it seems
probably the reviewer was getting more commission of the rs 165
Looking at the description of this headphone, it says it's good for noise isolation. How does this compare to the Sony WH-1000XM3 and the Bose QC35 II?
1000xm3 and qc35 are far superior in noise isolation.
These are probably only useful if u want a quick and easy solution to using headphones for TV watching at night and not disturb others. There is a huge hub that needs u to be in range for the wireless headphones to get connection.
Thanks. In that case, I don't understand why people would go for this and not spend a little bit more to get the XM3. They were selling for like $350 a while ago, brand new. Should be easy to get it at that price nowadays. Doesn't require a hub and just uses Bluetooth, just as easy to use for watching on TV etc.
Bluetooth not readily available on tv which means a seperate hub purchase or some receiver that has integrated bluetooth.
XM3 and QC35 are not very comfortable headphones when you compare them to a lot of the sennheiser headphones HD598, HD600 etc which blows the XM3 and QC35 out of the waters in terms of comfort. I'm assuming these sennheiser headphones are also very comfortable. These also have the virtual surround sound thing that might be somewhat useful for watching movies. If you want on the go noise cancelling headphones, go get the XM3 or QC35. Thats what they were made for and does the job quite well.
If you want a comfortable wireless relaxing headphone at home, then you might be keen for something like these Sennheiser RS-175.@Tomo: I have both QC35 and the RS 185 (bit better than the RS175 mentioned here but same idea). QC35's (and any other BT headphones) actually have quite a noticeable delay, even if you have a low latency transmitter (its pretty noticeable when watching movies, and its almost unwatchable without the low latency transmitter). The RS185 does not have this issue, the latency is very negligible. Also the audio quality in the RS185 is far superior to the QC35, it just feels so much better and waaay more comfortable (im not an audiophile, this is just my opinion, so take this with a grain of salt) and i would consider it pretty similar to my Sennheiser HD558's (but wireless). Lastly, i would say that the RS185 does almost no noise reduction, maybe a tad better than the HD558 but around the same really. TL;DR: dont buy this for noise reduction, buy it only for sound quality, low latency, and comfort.
@syrys: Yea i totally forgot about the audio lag when watching videos with the XM3 and QC35 =) I had both the XM3 and QC35 and I remember the audio delays when I watched movies off my computer.
Decent but not as good
These are the best for listening to television or as I do a projector. Bluetooth is completely useless compared to these . I have a pair of Sony WH-1000XM3.
