What’s the go with that code?
What is that group and is there any proof of membership required, especially around pickup in store?
The code is for Hospitality NZ members, hence why it's in the forum section. Their previous code got smashed in this deal a while back, but no one said whether there was an issue using it when doing click & collect. Because of Torpedo7s current deal (10-20% off for club members), you have to be logged out to use it.
I tested it on the T7 Volt Towball rack; $559 as a club member, $364.63 shipped with the code (logged out).
Long story short, use at your own risk. I don't know if T7 will check for HNZ membership.
I have been using it for the last couple of weeks on small items. No need to prove you are a Hospitality member. In fact when I wanted to change the size of gloves I ordered they simply gave me a refund and asked me what I code I used (the staff at the store couldn't tell what code I used). I just told them Hospitality NZ and they said sweet and gave me the same glove but different size.
@Volks: Thanks.
Looking at one of their more expensive home brand tents. Those brands tend to have the biggest reductions, but this would be a big dollar item with a huge reduction via this code.
thanks Wakrak
do you think this will be relatively be the same discount ill get from Volks' code?
on a hunt for a hardtail mtb. ta!
Not sure eh! Could always wait and compare the savings in 13 days (hopefully HNZ doesn't change their code in the meantime).
Varies item to item; sometimes yes sometimes no.
In terms of the specific item your after: HNZ code seems to save you 10% on Trek, 20% on Mongoose (only slightly cheaper than Club Members price), and the T7 bike is in-store only. The T&Cs for the deal above "excludes bikes and frames, electronics, freight, gift cards and workshop services".
Can confirm I used this code instore this weekend to purchase 2 hardtails.
I got $185 off each Trek which was just over 10%. Also purchased a Torpedo7 Universal Phone Mount which was labeled as $29.99, this deal took it down to $7 so big saving on Torpedo7 brand.
may i know which ones you got?
on a hunt for an entry level one, wondering if i should wait til February for any decent sales.
@KoolBananas: Sure, I ended up buying 2 x Trek Roscoe 7s.
Interestingly they’re advertised as 2020 models but scanned up as 2021 and from what I can tell by the serial number, 2021 is correct.
Tried the Marlin series but was a bit underwhelmed, the Roscoe felt like it had a bit more substance and the dropper post is game changing when you start using it.
For what it’s worth, the sales guy said they’re generally not allowed to discount Trek.
Hi, this is great! Which phone mounts are these?
@dkiwi: Torpedo7 branded ones but to be honest they’re a bit of a pain. Might just buy a Quad Lock mount and case
Worked for me!
Wow, some big discounts on some things. I just ordered some fitness gear, not a torpedo 7 branded item, went from 299 to 130. Hopefully can pick up ok.
I can confirm a family member picked up the item from in store fine no problems using the hospitality code.
Thanks for sharing the HNZ code, it works well as long as you don't log in to your Torpedo member account. I bought the Ascent Escape 5-Person Tent RRP $299.99 and with this code it came down to $113.59 which means this is way more than 50% discount on some items (in this case about 62% discount). If you want 3 person tent, it comes down to around $70ish with this code which is so cheap for a dome tent. Looking forward to some backyard camping with my 3 yr old daughter :)
Tried using the code ABC2021 but says its expired. Does it still work for you?
Its for Feb; so likely not yet active.
Doh. Thanks
Any good finds on this one?
If anyone's keen on buying cheaper Torpedo 7 branded gear now (January), test out the hospitality code given by Volks here
