Vitamix Ascent A2300i Blender - $795 @ Farmers

40

Normally $995, so $200 off.

I know this sort of stuff usually gets shunned on here, but this seemed like a good deal since this brand rarely receives much in the way of discounts.

If you don't know of Vitamix, they're basically regarded as the gold standard of blenders. Cafes, restaurants etc use their machines.

Can get a further $50 off if you have a humm account

Better than the old Land Rover gearbox that I've been using!
However, I'm going the miss the feature where if you accidentally drop a fellow rodent in, you can slap it into reverse and they fly right out!

That's rodent dust. Don't breathe this!

    Will it blend?

Been watching reviews on blenders as the wife was wanting a blender and this brand is one of the best, commercial cafes or drink stores like Starbucks(drink store, not a cafe) use this brand

  • Don't have one but will buy one when i get my place. As the OP said, this is the gold standard of blenders

  • Does anyone have the Froothie brand? How does it compare being at a more affordable pricepoint?

    • +1

read reviews on amazon on this blender a2300 vs an optimum blender, 4.8 vs 3.7 review scores
      i've been doing my homework

      • What about the Froothie Evolve?

        • +1

tbh the reviews for the froothie ones feel 'fake' to me as if you do just a bit of searching all the reviews are done by froothie themselves or by their 'Ambassadors'/people contacted and paid/gifted by froothie themselves. check out yumsome's review on the evolve as it shows in-depth the pros and cons. The jug not being dishwasher safe or not being soaked in water was the biggest turn off for me

          • @F armer: Thanks! Really appreciate this - i get excited and sold by the gimmicks sometimes :P

  • I understand this might be a great price for this model. I just curious outside of any commercial application what is. The advantage of buying this model over one that costs $200-300?

For example there is a Kenwood for $200 from Noel Leeming with decent reviews and a 60month warranty.

    • Quality and durability, same as any other high end tool or appliance. This model comes with a ten year warranty. But yeah, you could buy half a dozen Nutribullets for less than this and maybe get the same sort of lifespan and similar results, so ultimately it's all down to preference.
