  • Would anyone know how well this will work for dashcams? I know they usually have disclaimers around this in the past :)

    • +1

IMO these would run too hot and not have the continuous writes that a high endurance that you would need for a dashcam, I used to buy any sdcard but quickly realise you need a high endurance one otherwise you'll end up buying cards all the time, since moving to high endurance I only replace them every 2 or 3 years. card would.

It depends on the dashcam also mine which is a 2ch blackvue is very hard to buy for, but if you have a standard one then you can get away with normal cards, ymmv

I think the main thing you'd want to look at is the V rating, this one should be good for a dashcam with it's V30 rating.

  • Can anybody please advise what is the difference between micro sd and micro sdxc card? Looks like micro sd is cheaper. I have a tablet samsung s6 lite and i checked both type of cards are compatible. My main purpose would be storing and watching bluray movies on it.

SD = Secure Digital, up to 2GB storage
SDHC = Secure Digital High Capacity , up to 32GB storage
SDXC = Secure Digital Extended Capactity, up to 2TB storage

Most stuff will be SDHC or SDXC this day and age. SD is pretty much phased out as 2GB is such a small amount of data to store these days.

For storing movies, you'd be looking at a SDXC card, something like this deal, or one of larger capacity. Looks like the S6 lite supports up to 1TB MicroSD.

      • Thank u so much for explaining it, makes sense now 😊
