I saw the banner last night, bought some fried chicken for $1.97 delivered. The offer dissappeared for that shop but stayed for the rest, first it didn't let me do it anymore but don't know what I did that it started letting me add the $1 items to the cart. Ended up buying 7 meals for up to $4 each (separate orders, most of them were $1.97) . Could've done for like 20 other shops in Hamilton but didn't think it was right lol
FYI the shops get the full payout, UberEats takes the hit,
I've bought via ubereats in store standing there coz it was cheaper for me while they still get full payout WIN-WIN
If you get the receipts from the store you'll often see they are full price, stores sometimes don't even know there's discounts running, unless there's a massive rush of customers/drivers who tell them

Back for me, was able to filter by offers and uberone, then look for brown offer tags, those usually had them.
Fun, er, hack? If you have 5 restaurants with $1 items in your carts, and then start ordering, it takes a while for the use of the promo to register and suddenly you can have several $1 meals headed your way (source ozbargain comments)
where did the banner appear when you filtered by offers and uberone?
Never saw any banner. Had to do the described filters, then look for brown offer tags like "two offers available" and tap into those. Then I'd see their items for $1. Not all of them.

@beatthatflight: That makes sense. In my case the banner has just reappeared now and says "Check back later for more…" when I click it.
I would expect something to come up later on this afternoon or evening which would match the same timings as yesterday when I first saw it.
Worked for me managed to get 4 meals @$1.97each
Queue em up with any and all changes and then quickly one after another order them, got upto 4 before the system reverted pricesEdit: Awesome all my options were non-vegetarian but in the special requests section of a meal I asked nicely if they can change to a specific vege option (that was cheaper or equivalent) and they all did!!
If they didn't fill my change request at least some of the people in my apt block would get free meals so 👍Thanks for this hack, ordered from 5 stores for 2$ each! $100+ worth of food for 10$. Hopefully tomorrow can do it again.
Do you order with APP or Web Browser? Did you checked out 1 by 1 or click it in 1 go?
Use app, and make sure my carts have the items added before I pay, I pay the first one then go to my carts for the others and quickly pay them. Do it fast to get it each for 1.97$. Make sure carts are ready before you start paying the first order.
@doubledippps: Didn't work. It showed $1.97, and I paid for it. But once the order started being made, somehow the price changed to the actual price. Spent about an hour chatting to the AI bot to try cancel the order initially and then eventually tried to get the money back but had to bite teh bullet when the order was being delivered.
Oh well, so I got 2 meals for $26 :(
To clarify, when I bought the second one, the price still showed $1.97 but the price updated retrospectively on me AFTER the purchase.. Was super dodge of them.@mickey9876: The cart might still say $1.97, but in the back-end the promo has expired and it can't update the cart's price to reflect that unless you refresh the page.
I'd recommend with this sort of thing to use a card with only $10 or so on it, so that if the price reverts the order just won't go through.

Tried to sign up for a new account to get the Uber One trial, I just get "Sorry, Uber One isn't available to you right now".
Order a pizza from a local shop in Richmond, Nelson for $1. 5 minutes from pick up it was cancelled by the store. Now unable to select a different restaurant for this offer which is disappointing.

$5 x 5 would be $25 for food from 5 different places with this dealIt probably depends on the store. There were a lot of stores in my area with $1 items and the service fee was under 99c, making the entire order under $2.
I paid 1 dollar for the item(s), and delivery and fees came to 97 cents per order. So each order came to $1.97 for me. I am in central chch though, I'm guessing location makes a difference?

Have them open ready to go. Wait for each to be accepted, then check out with the next one. I managed 3, although thats all I had in my cart because it's what we would actually eat!

It was hilarious.. We had 2 different drivers turn up. The second turned up and asked the first if our house was the number they were looking for. My eldest child and I couldn't stop laughing it was quite funny!

In terms of the expiry date of the deal I am assuming it goes until Sunday midnight - I only set that based on what was posted on OzBargain and the fact that it states ‘1 fave. 1 dollar. 1 week’.

Forgot I had another uber account with uberone trial. Loaded 10 orders in the cart, was only able to process 4 of them before getting an error on a couple. 4 x $2 meals delivered, not bad =D
