TEMU: 100% Cashback for New TEMU Users, 40% Cashback for Existing Users - June 3rd Only

Was 10% for all

40% is the best yet. Some inspiration in the forums: TEMU - What Is Your Regular/Staple Purchases from There?

Assuming it's like last time, $30 cap for new customers, no cap for existing customers.

When ordering from Temu you must remove and readd items to your cart after clicking through from Shopback.

Surfshark VPN: 100% Cashback for New Users - June 3rd to June 9th

Was 30%

Much like the popular NordVPN deal (Nord and SurfShark are the same company).

Abridged advice from Wakrak in that thread (hopefully should apply here also):

A new customer is defined by Surfshark. Simply use a new email address at their end.
All plans (discounted or not, excluding upsold products) are eligible for cashback (2-year, 1-year, monthly). So unless you really need or want the extras, best option (IMHO) is to simply choose one of the Standard plans and not Plus or Complete.
A tip from comments in previous posts is to select a country with no GST to save further at checkout as GST is ineligible for cashback. Pay with a card that does not charge overseas transaction fees.
And finally please remember you have the safety net of Surfshark's 30-day money back guarantee should tracking fail or if you’re not happy with the product.

Thanks for the lovely shoutout @chep :) You can earn Cashback when you shop at Amazon Australia or eBay Australia. Orders made from both stores, and shipped to New Zealand are eligible for Cashback. Lastly, a quick note that eBay 20% Cashback is happening on 7 June :)

Can you please clarify how you define the new Temu user? I created a new Temu account last time but only received 30% cashback.

    • is there a cap on the ebay and amazon deal for maximum cashback? and what happens if i use a giftcard to pay?

  • +3

would ebay be a better place to buy? Temu is full of junk if not all products sold there are junk.

    • +1

Entirely depends on what you are wanting to buy, some generic things that you can't go wrong with can be a lot cheaper from Temu, especially with the extra 40%. eBay is also filled with junk someone has bought from a site like Temu and marked up.

On the advice of this thread I got some alcohol wipes from Temu on the last sale, identical to anything you'd get on eBay for a fraction the price.

      • thanks for the tips

I’ve certainly cut back on Temu after reading stats like this:

“authorities found earrings and rings sold on Temu containing cadmium and lead far exceeding legal limits. Of 404 items investigated, 96 goods, or 23.8% of the total, were found to contain as much as 700 times the legal limits of cadmium and lead, officials said.”

      • +2

Exactly. The false perception of short term savings from Temu are outweighed by the potential long term costs to health and our environment. Then there's the cost of replacement when your Temu item only lasts 1/5 of the time reputable equivalents would

  • If this is like last time my cashback has tracked at 100% for $50. Each item tracked as it's own transaction so none of them hit the $30 cap not all registered as $30.

It's a risk spending over $30 but if you're buying household things listed in that other thread you'll be buying anyway it's worth the punt I think to try and get it all free.

    • Yeah 2($150ish) of my 6 transactions last time on Temu didn't get tracked, came up No purchase found, they were all done withing 2hrs of each other

  • So Temu cash back is given back 100% up to $30 for new users…. but minimum spend on Temu is $40. Unless I'm missing something it's not 100%?

    • My minimum spend is $35 on temu.

    • Minimum spend varies between users some will see $30, others $35, $40, $45 (Source: Temu NZ Groups ppl getting different amounts)

      Mines $40

  • Is this for new shopback users or new Temu users?
Ie, existing shopback account + new Temu account = 100% cash back?

  • Cashback is valid with coupons applied? Seems like it based on comments from previous post but can anyone confirm that they received it?

    • Yup cashback tracked with coupon transactions.
However put lots of time between transactions , seems shopback doesn't always track well if you do many quickly consecutively.

      • Was planning to only buy one item anyway haha so should be tracked fine?

      • How long a gap between transactions do you suggest?

        Once a day only?

        • 20-30mins between them, if you do them spread out over the day its fine

    • TEMU tracked with a coupon for me, I think the terms say this may not be the case so it might differ by store and coupon.

  • Does the item you buy need to be under or equal to $30 to get full 100% refund or can it be say.. $50 and you get $30 cashback from $50? Thank you.

    • Max upto $30. So you have to buy anything from $30.01 + to get $30 cashback.

    • +2

from the last cashback I made a $46 order (40 min spend) I got 100% cashback from the $30 and the extra $16 got 30% cashback

      • That's awesome. Thank you guys.

      • Was that your first Temu account? I created a new account and only got 30% cashback.

        • Second, temu but old one only had one order 1+ year ago

  • I wouldn't buy from Temu again. I ordered a few items once they weren't as described eg. A hose sold as 21 metres long hose turned out to be 5.5 metres.

There's been recent media attention here and in the UK on safety of products, some containing lead, other harmful substances and others with fake certification.

Temu is basically ordering and paying for trash for your local landfill.

Bad for you bad for our environment.

    • +1

good for the wallet. this is cheapies not greenies.

      • I'm cheap and still have respect for the environment and my health.
Long term it's actually not cheaper on the wallet to buy items you have to replace sooner. It's not cheaper if you end up with lead poisoning. Long term the economic costs of environmental degradation massively outweigh the short term perception of savings for your wallet.

Do the maths it's bad for your wallet

        • Not everything on Temu/aliexpress has lead in them. There are things which are 5x the cost if you buy locally and some of them are still the same cheap stuff with labels on them. So it all depends on what you buy.

          • @ace310: It's a bit like Russian roulette. You won't know what your product is like or if it's description was accurate until it arrives . No not every item has high levels of lead, antimony or other toxics. You won't know if your item does without testing it.

  • Light bulbs, leds, attachment brushes for drill, sensor lights

  • So, wait, let me understand this a little bit better.
So, if I create a new Temu account, I can only get the maximum of $30.00 back, as that's the max cap, but if I use my existing Temu account via ShopBack, I can get 40% back??

What does a VPN got to do with this deal?

    • +1

      Two different deals

  • Is this limited per account/transaction number, or can I have one shopback account and created multiple new Temu ones?

  • How does the 100% cash back work? I sign up at shop back, click on the temp link and just order like normal? Hope so that’s what I did 😅

    • Yes

  • Has anyone tried using surf shark before? Quite interested in the 100% cash back offer for it, seems a little too good to be true…

    • +1

I have PIA and Surfshark both on 100% cashback offers - these VPN offers are very common - do follow the advice of selecting non taxed location though.

I've always used PIA never had issues - however where surfshark seems to outperform PIA, is in geolocation.
Where websites have detected me in the wrong location than the virtual server location and intended location (turkey, nigeria etc) for PIA, I haven't had this issue with Surfshark and it is my go to for this purpose now

  • How long does it take for the purchase to track? Ordered over 24h ago but still only showing as "clicked" on ShopBack (am a new user for both ShopBack and TEMU)

    • Same here. made a ~$100 order last night.. nothing aside from "clicked" yet.
Will be pretty annoyed if this hasn't worked.

My dominos order recognized cashback within like half an hour for comparison..

      • All of my transactions were tracked correctly this morning

        • ah.. when did you make your order?

          • @NZDivinity: One in the morning and a couple during the night. The later ones showed up at noon.

            • @stinky111: Thanks. Doesn't bode well for mine then.
Might have to see how good there support is after the 2 day mark.

    • Took around 24hrs to track for me.

  • Hey @Inmagic @NZDivinity! Heads up about TEMU Cashback! It usually takes 2 days for your purchase to be tracked and show up in your account.

So, keep an eye on things! The Cashback itself is expected to be reflected by June 6th or 7th.

Cashback MIA? No worries! If your Cashback doesn't show up after that timeframe, you can easily submit a missing Cashback report. Just follow these steps:

    1. Head over to https://www.shopback.co.nz/account/missingcashback
    2. Submit a report for each missing Cashback instance (one report per missing Cashback)
    3. Remember, don't include taxes or fees in the amount you report.

That's it! Our team will investigate what's going on and get your Cashback sorted.

    Happy shopping (and earning Cashback)!

    • hey @gotyourback, thanks for the reply. unfortunately still nothing on my end at the 42hr mark (order made 03/06 just before 6 30pm).
is this expected to take 3-4 days (6-7 June as above) rather than 2?
      Thanks!

      • Hey @NZDivinity, could you drop us a DM with your ShopBack account details so we can look into this further? Thanks

        • @gotyourback, thanks, DM'd you now

        • Hey there, my cashback never worked and my claims were rejected (despite me following the instruction to a tee - I am not new to cashback, just with other apps). Not happy. I wouldn't have made the purchase to begin with if it wasn't for this promotion. Would really appreciate if this could be sorted

          • @Inmagic: Hey @Inmagic! Bummer about the rejected Cashback!

To get this fixed ASAP, shoot us a DM with the details. We'll be happy to sort it out for you

  • Never used this kind of thing before. But I just brought 2 years of surfshark. Hopefully I've done it correctly.

    • I did the same as you, keep finger crossed.

  • Interestingly ordered around ~$36 on temu but only got less than $30 in cash back. Also ordered a 2 year subscription for surf shark, hopefully the cash back comes soon
