    Does anyone know if this is stackable with the $30 back with the Amex NZ Dining Collection? (so a total of $35 cashback if I spend over $150 at a restaurant that is eligible for both cashbacks)

      Hmm, so if you open the page on a mobile device it loads a completely different map to if you open the page on a non-mobile device…

      The mobile version of the map has St Pierres but the other doesn't. LOL

          That’s bizarre. I just opened it on my mobile and can see St Pierre’s. Searched “St P” and clicked the magnifying glass.

          EDIT: Mystery solved. Appears the page that shows the list of shops has some kind of persistent cache. When I open the same page in incognito, St Pierres is no longer appearing 😵‍💫

            @simch: Honestly the map isn't very helpful. Always have to double check with the retailers before paying. I found quite a lot of places don't accept Amex anymore

              @Superpower21: I’ve had varying luck checking with retailers too. I’ve asked a few times before paying and been told “no we don’t accept Amex” or “no idea sorry”, only for me to insert and swipe my Amex card and the transaction go through.

                @simch: My friend went to urban soul Cafe before and they didn't accept Amex even lo it was on the Amex map. A lot of retailers also prefer other cards instead because of the high fees. When I joined Les Mills, I asked a few times, they said they don't accept Amex. But later I found out they do when my visa expired and I tried my Amex.

        They always told me that too, but my visa was expiring and I thought I gave Amex a go and it went through OK. So just tell the reception you want to update your credit card details.

    The Shop Small map is so bad.

    At least 3 places I've specifically gone out of my way to and they don't accept AMEX

        Auckland CBD. The server said no but when I saw the Amex logo on the eftpos machine I tried and it worked.
