Most sk68 clones don't use actual Cree brand led, , don't know about this one
Yeah, apparently there is something about the number of wires coming out of the LED. The clones have two, the genuine Cree has three. Various sites where they have photos. The Budget Light Forum has pretty good rundowns on all these sorts of issues. Good reviews as well.
Lots of interesting information on that forum. For example there's a simple mod you can do to permanently stop these lights from cycling through the different flash modes. Can be annoying to go through several modes when all you really want to do is turn the damn thing on or off.
Its Gearbest Deals might be a useful deal mining site for anyone wanting to post deals here, not mentioned by our resident GB rep.
The specs on this flashlight are both similar and inferior (300 vs 600Lm)(which might be the high/low setting?) to the CREE XPE Q5 LED, max 600Lm currently on offer at NZ$2.10 (incl delivery) from Gearbest.
The only substantial difference is that this flashlight has three modes (low/high/strobe) as compared with the other which is simply on/off. Both are zoomable and similar size. The Gearbest light also has a choice of case colours (black/gold/silver).
Personally, think the Gearbest is a better buy at half the price. That said, I have a couple of these Ultrafire flashlight also. They are a tidy little piece of kit.
