  • I'm assuming you have to remove all items previously in the cart, enable Shopback tracking, and then add them back into the cart?

    • +2

      Yep. Under cashback tracking tips:

      • For Temu, always clear your cart before using the link from this platform. Items already in the cart when you visit from a link on our platform will not be tracked for Cashback.
      • Always return to this platform and click through to Temu for every new transaction. Make sure the link on our platform is the last link you use to visit the Temu website.
    • I'm not sure what you mean by enable shopback tracking, perhaps disable any adblock browser plugins if active. But I think that you do have to access Temu via the Shopback website link (where you have created an account and are logged in), before - to get the 100% back - creating a new Temu account and adding items to cart.

I add stuff into my cart in my normal browser (with adblockers) when I'm browsing as Temu doesn't have a wishlist. I have a separate browser (e.g. MS Edge Dev/Firefox Dev) specifically for cashback tracking.

        • +1

Temu does, just not in the obvious place

          • There's a ❤️ when you scroll down to Product Details to save to wish list, unheart to remove item from list
          • To access Wishlist click on your profile at the bottom,
Then after Addresses/Earn Credits an Free Gifts. You'll see Browsing History and Wishlist
          • Wishlist is capped to 250 item's
          • Might be easier writing Product IDs down and just typing that into search to bring up the product
          • @Huntakillaz:

Might be easier writing Product IDs down and just typing that into search to bring up the product

Yeah that's what I do, like in AliExpress I copy the Product ID from the link into Notepad, go to my dedicated cashback browser, and paste the product ID in the search field. However recently with AliExpress I've noticed that searching by Product ID doesn't always send me to the product page, which is worrying.

I used the 100% cash back on $30 offer in May. The "remove minimum purchase" tips did not work for me, I had to spend $40 to order. It says I will be able to withdraw $30 sometime late September.

Since then, I have read this article: https://arstechnica.com/tech-policy/2024/06/shopping-app-tem…

Obviously the tracking data is valuable, to the extent of 100% cashback, and app overreach design and privacy data collection seem part of their 'customer as product' business model.

So if you do use this offer, I suggest using a secondary email account and do not install the app, instead use your PC browser.

    • Basically everything runs a customer as product system…

Does anyone know if it tracks if you use Temu credit instead of external payment?

I tried messaging the shopback guy here, but they haven't got back to me.

    • No. Temu credit or coupons values are normally excluded from any cashbacks.

      • It says vouchers or discounts, credit is neither.
It is an actual money equivalent that is made of my refunded money from different purchases.

So I was wondering if anyone had tried, or had clarification from ShopBack.

        • I believe credit was ok,as shopback would only count the actual money you spent not the credit amount

          @gotyourback can clarify

          • @Huntakillaz: The highest cashback rate for Temu I have ever found was 50% cashback from topcashback on the 11th June. Funnily enough though Temu are no longer a store on that platform? Dispute overcashback rate??? Who knows…..

          • @Huntakillaz: Hi @Huntakillaz, yes, if TEMU Credit or TEMU Coins are used in your order, the Cashback earned will be based on the final amount paid, minus the usage of TEMU Credit or TEMU Coins.

  • Just be aware lots of sellers up all their prices 40% for these things.

So search for the same product re multiple sellers and you should be able to find at least one with the normal price.

  • I always refund to original payment method. If you request a price adjustment this will void your cash back completely so dont do it unless the value is greater than the cashback amount.

    • The terms say a refund/partial refund will just decrease your cashback at a pro-rate.

So if that has happened on ShopBack contact customer service.

      • That only applies to returns or exchanges.

Any Rejected, Cancelled, Refunded, exchanged or returned product will not be eligible for cash back.

In this instance a partial refund due to the price now being cheaper via the price adjustment button on a product you are keeping will result in your cash back being declined.

For partial returns or exchanges they will pro rate the cash back. This basically says if you return one out of four items ordered your cash back for the returned item will be declined

        • I have had price adjustments and it just changed the total it was tracking… just saying

  • Just wondering if it's worth just making a couple new temu accounts to get the 100% cash back everytime or does this work once per ShopBack account?

    • no you can only use the 100% cashback one time

      • i’m questioning that as it seems like the 40% cashback works multiple times and the 100% cashback didn’t state that it’ll only work once

    • Have done the 100% cash back last two times using new accounts

      • The last two times as in the last two times they did this event? I mean as in making 2 new accounts for this one event and seeing if the 100% cashback both come to my account

        • Oh yeah i meant last two times the event was posted not twice in a single event
I struggle to reach the min shopping spend with temu most the time, aliexpress just has better range and better prices and no min spend

          • @Rowjo: I got quite lucky and only had a $15 minimum spend this time when making an account. Aliexpress tends to be better than TEMU but has less discounts and these 100% cash backs

I'm still waiting for mine to be tracked since King's Birthday. Someone should make a super guide for ShopBack/Temu

    • +2

Never had an issue with tracking of cash backs, the only people i know who have had issues left adblock on by mistake.

Other thing to check for is extensions that block cookies etc as this is how theyre often tracked.

Also if im at all worried i messed something up like backing out of check out to review my cart i reload the page using the cash back website link.

And if it doesn't track contact support on missing cash back (all the cash back site usually offer this and they're generally great at manually adding it)

    • Have you reported it via click activity?

  • Does a new Temu user via Shopback mean clicking through the Shopback link to the Temu site to download the App, create a login (with matching email address..etc) and then buy eligible items or does a pre-created Temu account with no prior spending count as a "new" Temu user for Shopback to click through to?

  • Also whether the Shopback invite bonus would still be legit when spending during these "upsized" offers when the "Refer-a-Friend Programme Terms & Conditions" state "(iii) accumulate $10 of confirmed Cashback by making a transaction (excludes bonus Cashback)" where the "bonus Cashback" is separate from "upsized" cashback?

    • This should be valid. Any cashback upto $10 should count within the time frame mentioned. Not necessarily in one transaction either.

  • I strongly recommend not installing the Temu app. It is literally spyware.

    https://grizzlyreports.com/we-believe-pdd-is-a-dying-fraudul…

    • so why didnt google/apple block it?
