Looks like this deal is back. Sign up as a new user for Contact Mobile and $200 credit is added to your Contact Electricity account (within 7 days they say).

T&C's say it is targeted and:

The Offer is not available to customers who have previously signed up to a special Contact Mobile offer in the last 6 months and is not available in conjunction with any other offer

    • Not sure if referral is still going, and I don't know what they count as 'in conjunction with other offers'. If it were to work you probably would:

      Sign up to energy with referral.
      Add broadband to energy account with promo code.
      Sign up for mobile with same e-mail as energy account + submit energy account number?

      Worth giving it a go, but it was a bit of a hassle to get the broadband credit, and subsequently it was on the second bill after we signed up. For us contact is the cheapest electricity anyways (signed up before they increased unit price for good weekends).

        Still working with old referral link. I can see the $200 share bonus, not sure if it will be honored though. Nothing to loose anyway.

      • I asked them recently if they were still doing friend referrals (for power) and they said no.

  • Does anyone know if there is a fixed period or just the one month? Ie are you free to move the number away or cancel within the first few months - terms aren’t clear so I would assume you’re fine to do it for a month and you’re free to go if you choose

      You don't need to even activate it. Atleast I haven't done it twice so far and received the credit. Canceled afterwards.

      • how do you cancel Contact mobile after you have signed up? they do not provide instructions? call them? email? which way is fastest?

          • @ace310: Extremely slow support through their live chat at least, took about 7 hours for them to reply.

      • You've got a credit twice? So by 'new user' they don't mean someone who has never been a contact mobile customer before, but someone who does not currently have a plan?

        • One was last year. Another one around march or something this year. So it was more than 6 months gap. I won't be able to do this one though.

      • port to another provider, or try kogan 5$ sim for one month unlimited call + 15gb data
        it will automatically cancelled and port to new connection

    I did not receive this offer. am I still eligible?

    • In the previous posts I believe some people in the comments managed to call and get credit without having the email. Don't know if they've updated their processes so YMMV.
